The two principals with JLA have over 70+ years of recruiting experience and specialize in the placement of Pension professionals and Actuaries on a nationwide basis.
Unlike some other recruiting firms, JLA does not simply submit résumés hoping that they will fit your needs. We take the necessary time to learn about your company and the important elements each position requires. For instance, we are proud in the thoroughness of our vetting process but if you have specific questions you'd like us to ask, by all means, let us know!
In addition, whereas other recruiting firms have no problem putting people in the front door while sneaking them out the back, JLA will not recruit out of your company for the following 12 months after a placed candidate has started their new position.
There's NEVER A COST to interview one of our candidates. JLA is only due a fee should you hire a candidate that was brought to
your attention through our efforts.
We work on a 13% fee based on the hired candidate's starting salary, which is about 1/2 of what other search firms charge in the industry. As our overhead is very low, we happily pass on some of that savings in the form of lower fees to our clients, which is a WIN-WIN for both of us!
We don't worry about the size of our fees as we feel if we do our job to your satisfaction, you will continue to give us more business as it's ALL about building lasting relationships.

JLA will ensure that the interview process is well organized, and duplication of efforts does not occur either from a candidate's self-submission or through the efforts of another recruiting firm.
JLA will never present a candidate to one of our client's without receiving the candidate's explicit permission and informing them of the position(s) they are being considered for.
JLA will prepare you with interviewing tips and strategies and provide you with sample "Thank You" letters, as well as pertinent information about the client company's culture, work environment, and position details. Once you have accepted an offer, JLA will help you prepare a professional resignation letter that will eliminate having to deal with a stressful counteroffer situation.
